A destination wedding in Athens Riviera always brings a smile to our faces. This is because wedding planning is undoubtedly what we love to do. It’s always our pleasure to work with great couples like Sergei and Julia. Making one of their most important days even better is truly emotional for us. Additionally, it fills us with happiness and joy!
We thought a destination wedding in Athens Riviera was a great choice for them. This is because their wedding took place in early October when the weather in Greece is risky. So, an island wedding wouldn’t be the best option in comparison with one in the Athenian riviera venues. The second option offers the island feeling combined with the city’s life and a lot of alternatives no matter the weather.
INSPIRATION
Sergei and Julia, our lovely Canadian couple, wanted to celebrate a luxury wedding along with their favorite guests. They felt that the breathtaking view of their venue was the perfect choice for a destination wedding in Athens Riviera which filled their guests with excitement.
For this wedding, our inspiration was the beautiful colors of the Greek islands. We decided to combine colors like the dusty blue, white and those of greenery and create a unique installment with this color palette.
DESSERTS STATION & REFRESHMENTS’ STAND
The dreamy dessert station with a background of the sea view, gave an elegant and luxurious aesthetic. We wanted to combine the silver items with delicious desserts and small treats and create at the same time an amazing decoration spot which we believe was the strongest in Sergei & Julia’s wedding. The transparency of the crystal objects managed to give the wedding atmosphere a glow. The guests couldn’t hide their enthusiasm and resist tasting all these delicate sweets. Beautiful flower arrangements on the several pedestals and tables that we used for the dessert station, completed the majestic experience.
From the church, they could not of course be missing the lemonade stand with the cool refreshments. Although it was early October, it was a hot day, so we made sure to offer fans to the guests and accompany the cold homemade lemonade with some traditional sesame snacks (pastelia)!
DECORATIONS
The art de la table had a subtle set up with some shiny silver candlesticks, watercolored designed sous plat plates, dusty blue napkins, silver-plated cutlery and transparent glassware. Every guest had their own crystal favor with Greek almond and sugar snacks (koufeta) next to their plates. We wanted them to receive special wedding favors for such a unique wedding in Athens Riviera.
The menu on the plate of each guest, with their name card was following the same aesthetic, designed with beautiful flowers in tones of blue and petrol and a white wax seal. One of our favorite detail was the hanging bubbles with candles above the dinner area which was giving a romantic note to Sergei and Julia’s celebration.
The lush flowers and greenery, such as garden roses and beautiful delphinium were completing the romantic touch. We had impressive flower centerpieces in silver plated items, giving this way a luxury touch to the dinner set up. For the bridal table, we decided to go for an amazing hanging flower arrangement above it, combined with many silver candlesticks and the beautiful above mentioned art de la table details.
The couple was really active and creative with the stationery. The invitation was designed by them. We are truly happy to work with so creative people. So, as the main idea the stationery had dusty blue flowers and greenery with a lovely chic concept.
CONCLUSION
The overall wedding tone was romantic. The candles and the beautiful flowers, each added to the beauty of their union. This small intimate destination wedding in Athens Riviera, will be unforgettable not only for the guests and the couple, but for the White Stories team as well!
In conclusion, that day ended with so many great feelings. We had a great time designing this beautiful wedding celebration. It’s always our pleasure to work with so creative and lovely couples as Sergei and Julia. We wish them a great and joyful life together.
